American Eagle will launch direct flights from Charleston to Miami in November, it not only brings back nonstop service to Florida but also an attractive price: Flights start at $89 one way, according to company officials. Those low fares run through Dec. 16.
Be prepared when returning home to be flexible: Travel and Leisure magazine recently ranked Miami International Airport the third-worst in the country this year with 26 percent of flights delayed.
You can get transfers from Miami airport to the Port Everglades in Ft Lauderdale. The drive will be approximately 45 minutes.
