“Web log” became “Blog” and “Blog” became our news platform
As many of you may have seen or wondered what the “Web Log” section on the top navigation bar of our website is, we would like to give a short introduction into the wonderful world of “blogging” as it is a very useful and exciting tool to exchange, comment or present your thoughts online. A blog (a portmanteau of web log) is a website where entries are commonly displayed in reverse chronological order. "Blog" can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog. It took us a while to set it up on our website, but now that we have got the hang of it we would love to see everyone participate and make it a real blog rather than just a bulletin board.
Go to our website and click on the Web Log link on top and see for yourself the vast number of articles we have published. You will find up to date entries for example in categories like Cruise Reviews, News Releases from Cruise Lines and Cruise Planners News and Events. Furthermore we inform you about what is new with different types of cruises, such as Active and Outdoor Adventure Cruises, Golf Cruises, River Cruises, Theme Cruises or Wine & Food Cruises. Make sure to check out also topical articles on Boarding Procedures, Health & Wellness or up to date Polls on best ships, best shore trips or best onboard activities. All of these categories you can also easily access through the site navigation on the left hand side of our homepage. The click on Ship & Trip Reviews for example leads you to all the reviews posted on our website. The Newsroom link gives at one glance an overview of our news categories and the respective entries. The development and maintenance of a blog gives us the chance to provide you even better with current news, besides our monthly e-newsletter. Whenever we find something of interest to our clients or visitors to our website, you can count on us wanting to share it with you and adding it to our Web Log. With that it is an easy way for you to stay up to date with what’s new in the cruise industry while being only one click away. You see, there is great potential in a Web Log. And it is so easy to join. If you want to do more than just read what others wrote then subscribe to our Web Log and have an actual influence on how our website looks like. Whether you are commenting existing articles or post your own, you will be participate in creating a great information pool for the cruise community. If you have questions for us or want to add a review of a ship, please feel free to join our blog. If you have a topic you want us to cover in our next newsletter let us know that as well. Our goal is to educate and inform the public when and wherever we can.
We are currently working on a systemized cruise review program that we would love all of you to join. The first step is to write a report of your past cruise and submit it to us either via email or simply using our Web Log. Write down anything that comes to your mind when thinking about your cruise and see your own personal masterpiece published on our website or as “Review of the month” in our e-newsletter. First it helps us to give you even better service with future cruise arrangements and second it is a guide for other cruisers to preview before they book and to make sure the cruise, the ship or the vacation type that you wrote about is something that they would enjoy.
