The Cruise Lines and their Private Islands

Cruise lines offer private islands on many of their Caribbean itineraries where passengers have a day at the beach.  Passengers can enjoy island activities in a less crowded setting.

Cruise lines have purchased or leased facilities.  They are reserved for their exclusive use.

 

Each islands has barbeque buffets, water sports equipment rental, lounge chairs and bathrooms are standard.  Make reservations on the ship for open air massages cabanas.  Costs will apply and may be charged to your shipboard account.  There is no charge for food, but soft drinks and cocktails will be extra.  There will also be some island souvenir shopping so you may need some cash as well.  You will also be given a beach towel provided by the ship.  Do not forget to return them as you would be charged.

 

Cruise lines will offer shore excursions such as snorkeling, water ski and jet ski rentals, aqua par visits, parasailing or scuba diving.   The main attraction for many is the pristine beaches.

HALF MOON CAY

*Scuba dive and explore the coral and marine life of the Caribbean as you search for brilliantly colored fish.
